Planting:
When it comes to planting, the Maprang Fruit Plant likes rich, well-drained soil which has a pH range between 6.0 and 7.5. Pick a spot that gets a lot of sunlight and has good air flow. Dig a hole that is just a little bit bigger than the root ball of the plant, and put the plant in the hole carefully. Fill the hole back up with the soil and water it well.
Fertilising:
Throughout the growth season, fertilisation of the Maprang Fruit Plant is essential. Use organic manures that are rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
Vermicompost: Apply a handful of vermicompost per plant once in a week. Spread the vermicompost around the base of the plant and gently work it into the soil using hands or a gardening hoe.
Bone Meal: Apply 5-10 grams of bone meal powder to the plant once a week. Sprinkle the bone meal around the base of the plant and gently work it into the soil.
Fish Amino Acid: Fish amino acid should be diluted at a rate of 1:500. (1 part fish amino acid to 500 parts water). Spray the leaves and soil around the plant's base with the diluted solution once a week. For one plant, use about 100 ml of the solution that has been diluted.
Pest and Disease Control:
The Maprang Fruit Plant is somewhat resistant to pests and diseases, but is sensitive to specific pests and illnesses. Aphids, mealybugs, and scale insects can be controlled using bio pest control or neem oil. Observe for symptoms of fungal or bacterial illnesses, such as leaf spots or wilting, and treat as necessary with an organic bio-fungicide or bactericide.
Harvesting:
The Maprang Fruit Plant generally bears fruit in late spring or early summer. The fruit is ripe when it changes colour from green to yellow and becomes somewhat soft to touch. The fruit should be harvested by carefully twisting it off the branch. The Maprang fruit can be consumed right away or it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
